Nestled in Orhionmwon Local Government Area lies the vibrant Edo community of Evbuwa, a vibrant tapestry of culture, tradition, and resilience. Home to approximately 2000 residents spread across 140 dwellings, Evbuwa is rich in diversity. It is a melting pot of ethnicities, with Delta Ibo, Urhobo, Esan, Agbor, and Hausa communities coexisting harmoniously with the indigenous Edos. It is headed by an Odionwere (the oldest man in the community) and a traditional structured leadership.

Yet, amidst its cultural richness, Evbuwa grapples with challenges familiar to many rural communities – no primary health care centre, no secondary school, and limited economic opportunities. It had never been previously electrified. However, on January 30th, 2023, EtinPower ushered in a new era of possibility by illuminating Evbuwa with the transformative power of electricity.

Since then, Evbuwa has witnessed a resurgence of vitality and hope. With the flick of a switch, darkness has given way to light, catalyzing economic growth and sparking external interest in the community's untapped potential. Yet, our journey is far from over.
